SET SAIL AT A MINI-LAUNCH EVENT

Did you miss Launch—Set a Fresh Course this spring? Not to worry: four-hour mini-Launches may soon sail to a location near you, packed with priceless insights on prayer, mentoring, volunteer recruitment, and becoming missional. Upcoming mini-Launches are set for Sioux City, Iowa; Rapid City, South Dakota; Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; San Antonio, Texas; and Hays, Kansas. Plans are percolating for Branson, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee; and northeast Illinois, too. Check with your Field Director to see what’s happening in your area and read the blog comments to hear how God has already blessed many women like you through Launch.

LAUNCH LANCASTER

Reflections from Lancaster, Pennsylvania:

How did God speak to you most clearly at this event?

• To bring a widow I’ve been mentoring to Chazown.
• My prayer life needs to become more vibrant! (And I learned how to do it today.)
• The Great Commission is for today! It is worked out in our lives as we “go and be” the hands and feet of Jesus.
• I was convicted to reach out more to the lost people in my life and to the younger women I come in contact with.
• That God is going to do great and mighty things in the next generation if we humble ourselves to do things His way and not just the old way because it is comfortable. Let’s give our girls the same mentoring and sharing of truth that was given to us. They are our next generation of leaders.
• To trust that if I serve Him, then He will take care of the details I am anxious about.
• To be more aware of people around me that I can mentor in many different ways.
• I was enlightened during Launch to realize how Stonecroft is encouraging us to branch out and “think outside the box,” finding ways to reach the women in our areas.

LAUNCH SACRAMENTO

• It was all so great!
• I loved this Launch conference. It was so excellent and inspirational. Thank you for sharing your vision and passion with us.

• This was outstanding. Very well organized. Speakers great. Liked the interaction, too.

How did God speak to you most clearly at this event?

• Be bold. Be afraid, but go.
• Reach out. Ask God each day where He wants me to go.
• To try and reach into the new areas in my community.
• Teach English to Hispanic moms. Mentor a young lady.

· I need to allow change – it will be refreshing.

• To just step out and try something new; reach out creatively; get more involved with women who don’t yet know Christ.
• Do a new thing!
• Re-evaluate my service to God.
• I’ve been reminded again how precious He is, and the amazing life He’s given to me. I need to be more passionate about passing Him on.

LAUNCH PASADENA

Reflections from Pasadena, California:

• An absolutely wonderful and inspiring seminar. Lots of material to think and pray about.
• Mentoring is very special to me. I need to be careful not to limit myself to older/younger mentoring scenarios—I’ve been able to mentor women my own age, both formally and informally.
• I loved every minute of it. Very inspiring, and ignited new passion and vision.
• This event was great. I liked the speakers and then the discussion around the table.

How did God speak to you most clearly at this event?

• To pray purposefully, and the relevancy of mentoring in a woman’s life.
• He encouraged me to keep on doing what I’m doing, in spite of feeling inadequate. Now I feel God is really blessing me.
• To be a fisher of women, instead of an aquarium keeper. I was really humbled by this skit. God spoke to me and I am praying that He will show me and give me the wisdom to have a changed heart. Pray for me that God will teach me and show me how to make these changes. I want the mind of Christ and to make a difference.
• California is such a diverse state culturally. Need more outreach to the Hispanic community.
• I need to wake up and be aware of people around me. The focus on prayer was awesome.
• To have a missionary viewpoint.
• God really wants me to get in gear, reaching out to my community through service projects, Bible studies, and more.
• Through the mentor/mentee talks; knowing what I want for college.
• To be more intentional with witnessing, and thinking creatively about “prayer appointments.”

All the topics made me think, and God spoke to me very clearly what I needed to do. This event also gave me a greater insight on where Stonecroft wants to be headed. I am excited about the future of this ministry.
